Abstract Realism and Creative Process

My work exists between abstract and subtle realism, where form is suggested rather than fully defined. I am drawn to the tension between structure and freedom — allowing each painting to emerge through both intention and instinct.

Each piece begins with direction shaped by research, observation, and inspiration. As layers build, that structure gives way to a more intuitive process. The surface evolves through layered movement, balancing control with spontaneity.

Color, Texture, and Form

Color serves as both foundation and emotion within my work. The balance of hue, shading, and placement shapes the composition while carrying emotional weight. Texture introduces depth and physical presence, creating movement and dimension that extend beyond the visual.

Intention and Instinct

Though subject matter may shift — from landscape to floral to abstract — a consistent visual language remains. Layered surfaces, harmony of color, and emotional depth connect each piece.

If a painting invites stillness, evokes memory, or creates a sense of quiet reflection, then it has fulfilled its purpose.
